Occlusal plate
This treatment is for those who have temporal-mandibular joint (TMJ) pain and those who do bruxism. In the majority of cases, it is a transparent acrylic plate that covers the teeth to create freedom in protrusion and laterality movements. The vertical dimension is increased by about 2 mm in order to reduce the occlusion force.
