Types of removable dentures
Removable partial denture
Large edentulous spaces can be filled by partial dentures that are retained by hooks on the remaining teeth. This solution is certainly economical but does not always offer a satisfactory aesthetic result. In a case where there is sufficient inter-maxillary space, the base of the partial prosthesis is made of a mixture of chromium alloy and cobalt. The cast metallic palate is four times thinner than the acrylic that conducts heat, enhancing the taste sensations.
Different types of reinforcement exist either in metal or fiberglass can be integrated with the acrylic during baking to solidify the partial denture. Price starting at $800 per prosthesis depending on the needs of the patient.
Removable full denture
Full dentures are used to restore fully edentulous jaws to a basic dentition. As part of this solution, the new teeth (either acrylic, composite or porcelain) are supported by a resin base color similar to the gum. At the level of the maxillary, this restoration is maintained by the force of suction and saliva unlike the mandible which is maintained mechanically.
This treatment takes on average 4 appointments, it all depends on the work of the denturologist. We always follow up after the denture is applied, to ensure our patients are satisfied. Wearing a well-fitting dental prosthesis helps to improve your appearance and avoid certain long-term health problems.

General repair
In almost all cases, it is possible to repair and modify an existing dental prosthesis. You should never try to repair it yourself which could aggravate the situation and make repair impossible.

Rebuilding and relining
After a few years, your prosthesis may lose its suction and becomes larger. The solution is to take the mold directly from your mouth with a self-curing acrylic. This treatment is inexpensive, fast and effective.
Soft base
The soft base is a cushion placed in the underside of the lower prosthesis to avoid discomfort and some gum pain. Sometimes the stability of the prosthesis can be improved. It is necessary to change the soft base every 2 to 3 years depending on the hygiene.
